Fall Camp 2007 : WOW! What a weekend! (Check out the video in the first 3 scenes.) We camped on private land in Rigaud, so every Scout (and some parents) got to chop down his or her own tree. We also built fires, set up shelters and learned about lanterns and stoves. Check out the super-cool pioneering Merry-Go-Round, built from logs and rope! The hole for the central pole was over 6 feet deep. You can also see scenes of our Scouts in the kitchen. We had a feast: pancakes & sausages, tacos & burritos, tortellini, garlic bread & Caesar salad, and egg mc muffins & home fries.

Wilderness Recue Camp 2007 : A first-aid-themed camp held at Tamaracouta. Our younger Scouts handled three scenarios: a burn victim from an accident with a camping stove, a mountain biker who had crashed on a downhill run and broken his collarbone and his ankle (we actually evacuated him up off the side of the hill to a rescue point) and a bear mauling. The senior Scouts did a search for a missing person and a large accident scene with multiple victims.

Jay Peak 2008 : An absolutely stunning weekend. The weather was great and the snow was spectacular. We slept at the chalet at the top of the mountain, and boy, was it windy! (You can see the Scouts fighting the wind in the pictures with the flags.) The first run down on Sunday morning on the fresh snow before the mountain was opened was described as "The best run ever!"

Spring Camp 2008 : This was a combination Unadulterated Camp and Canoe Camp. Some of the kids spent the weekend camping on their own at Tamaracouta, without adult supervision. They made a sauna, made molten lead castings and did wax and water sprays. Others went on a day canoe trip from Tamaracouta, through Lake Wilson and into Lake Kanawana. We did a 1-kilometer portage, had lunch on a raft in the middle of Lake Kanawana, drank water off our paddles and went swimming in Tamaracouta Falls. What a great weekend!
